The Moffitt Family has been living in Sumter County since 1971. It all started with Duane Moffitt, father to nine children, and successful commercial contractor. James Moffitt, Duane's youngest son, followed in his fathers' footsteps in working with construction. From such a young age, James has been working with his dad on job sites, and has spent his entire adult life in the construction industry. Simple & Humble Beginning
At a young age, James Moffitt dreamed of piloting his own venture, one he would nurture and build over the course of many years. That venture became Moffitt Homes, a company that is today one of the most well-known and respected in the field of home construction and renovation. Over the years, James promised to always build beautiful, top-quality homes with no strings attached. He wanted to keep things simple for everyone and offer an outstanding product that he could be proud of for the rest of his life. Today, Moffitt Homes continues to carry those ideals. Each and every home we build is treated in that same fashion, just as James wished when he launched the company – and we will continue to build homes this way for as long as we exist.
